With over 30 years of underground experience, John Oldsen serves as Vice-President of Research and Development for Keystone Mining Services, LLC. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Ground Control Engineer for KMS and Managing Director and General Manager of Jennmar Australia. In his current position, he oversees all research and development work on new products for Jennmar Corporation including J-Lok resin.

Prior to joining Jennmar Corporation in 1991, he worked for ETI where he held several positions including Northeast Marketing Manager, Manager and Specialties Product Manager, and Manager of Explosive. From 1968 to 1998, Mr. Oldsen worked for Dupont, Mine Anchorage Division, and held positions in sales management, field sales, plant supervision and engineering.

A cable bolt, truss, and resin specialist, he has authored many technical papers on mine ground control. Mr. Oldsen currently serves on the ASTM Roof Support Committee of the National Mining Association.

Mr. Oldsen has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Mining Engineering at West Virginia University.
