Dr. Li received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mining Engineering from the Shandong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Li obtained his Ph.D. degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. At SIU, Dr. Li developed many new rib control techniques that are in use today.

Dr. Li came to Keystone Mining Services as a Ground Control Engineer in early 2005. Between China and the U.S., Dr. Li has over ten years experience in various areas of mine ground control. He has worked on many projects including roof support design, pillar design, tunneling, stress analysis, standing support design, etc. Dr. Li is an expert on numerous computer modeling techniques including both two and three dimensional finite element analysis. Between China and the U.S., Dr. Li has authored over sixteen books and publications relating to mine ground control.
