Founded in 1997, Keystone Mining Services, LLC (KMS) provides a broad variety of standard and advanced engineering services continuing to make the mining and tunneling more efficient and cost effective. By using the latest in finite element computer modeling and our Roof Instability Rating (RIR) system, KMS provides precise, accurate stress analysis, pillar design, subsidence prediction, longwall shield design, and site specific ground control design for both the mining and tunneling industries. These services are in addition to product development and testing, field services, data collection and expert recommendations.

Heading up the organization is Dr. John C. Stankus. Dr. Stankus has been instrumental in the development of Keystone Mining Services' Stratascopic Cadd and Roof Instability Rating System. He has authored numerous papers on specific mining concepts and has presented many technical papers at mining conferences. Dr. Stankus is also listed as the inventor or co-inventor on over 32 U.S. Patents related to mine ground control systems.

Keystone Mining Services, LLC is an affiliate of Jennmar Corporation that is a leading supplier of roof support systems for the coal, hard rock, and tunneling industries.
